en You always want to get back out there. I had pretty good stuff in Texas, almost too good. I couldn't control it and I couldn't throw it for strikes. When that happens, you start walking guys and it leads to really big innings. Today I felt more comfortable.

en I think I was flat, ... The last game and today were just bad days.  I can't tell you exactly why.  I warmed up well and felt good coming in, but I couldn't throw strikes.  And, when I did throw strikes they got real good swings at them.

en You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

en It was just a weird game. Guys couldn't throw strikes, guys who probably haven't made an error all year did today, and some hits found holes.

en The first guy we faced was slow, and we knocked him out in the first inning because he couldn't throw strikes. I thought the second guy they brought in was pretty decent, and the last guy threw hard but didn't have any control.

en You always want to get back out there. I had good stuff in Texas -- too good. Today, I felt more confident throwing balls in the strike zone, even though I hit a couple of batters. My misses were better.
