He was pretty spectacular. All the teams that accomplish anything during a season have a quarterback that picks his team up and carries it, and he surely did that.

Some people look at it as a negative because of the way they hold the ball or whatever, but every quarterback is different. If that's the way he's programmed, then so be it. If he's successful with it, why change it? Over the long haul, quarterback is so hard to figure out anyway, seeing how many first-round picks don't make it, and how many lower-round picks do.

If you have two picks, you're in a position where you can take him and not expect to get anything out of him this season. It's hard for a team with one first-rounder to do that. I don't know too many teams that don't need something out of their first-rounder this year.

We're just one of 32 teams in the 2005 season, ... We're all trying to accomplish the same thing. We respect what has been done by everybody, whether it be the Packers, the Patriots, whoever. Only two teams finish the season with a win -- the team that wins the state title and the third-place finisher. The fact that we ended up where we did, I think we surpassed what many people thought we could accomplish. That's a credit to our girls.

I've never been wild about two-platoon at quarterback. With one quarterback, you seem to have more team unity. I've seen college teams use two quarterbacks, and it usually doesn't work that well.

We're still a run-oriented team. We take pride in our offensive line. Even with a line that was 4/5th new last year we ran for 2,000 yards. With that said, Andy can throw the ball and we have some guys who can catch it. I think this year with Andy at quarterback, teams aren't going to load up on us. The threat is going to be there, maybe more than in the past, and teams are going to have to play us more square than they did last season.

They are going to have a pretty good football team by the time the season is over. I was really impressed with their quarterback and their receivers. They threw and caught the ball extremely well. They are going to get better every week, too.

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

When we got a franchise, the odds were pretty stacked against us, ... And now for this team to be playing in the greatest sporting event in America, it's pretty spectacular.
