Right now I don't ordsprog

Just nu ser jag inte det här laget som det var i början av säsongen. Jag har bara varit med när de spelar här. Det är tufft för mig att säga hur de presterar på bortaplan. Men när man går ut dit, när man kommer hit, så fort man kommer till omklädningsrummet, måste man känna sig, "vi kommer att vinna idag". Man går ut, fokuserar och förbereder sig för matchen, förbereder sig med sina lagkamrater om hur ni ska göra, hur ni ska anpassa er för att bli bättre. Jag tror inte vi har den typen av spelare här. Vi har ganska bra spelare som kan bli All-Stars. Vi har Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), alla de där killarna. Vi behöver hålla ihop. Det här spelet är inte lätt. Många lag har gått igenom det här, Kansas City, bra lag, Yankees i början av säsongen. Men de hittar ett sätt att bli bättre, att vända allt åt andra hållet. Vi behöver hitta det där laget som stora lag gör i den situationen, i den här situationen.

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

A lot of teams have been through this, good teams -- the Yankees early in the season. But they find a way to get better, to turn everything the other way. With that kind of team, the big thing is concentration.

Det vi pratade om var att när du har fyra spelare borta, kan du bara inte spela med ditt andralag. What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

I feel very confident that we have people that can come in and fill in. I don't have any problem with the whole situation. I think we'll be as competitive as we can be and I look forward to a good series. Good teams make adjustments and we're going to find out this weekend if we're that kind of team that can make adjustments irrespective of some of the things that we have to do.

With the addition of these three players, we're a better team. And that's the excitement. And if we can find another player somewhere on in the season, we'll look at that too. You have to keep looking. Other teams are still looking for players. Teams are still trying to do whatever they have to do to get better.

And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

Att se många lag gå över till 3-4-försvaret hjälper mig, tror jag. Om man tittar omkring är det svårt att hitta många killar som har storleken och vikten för att spela outside linebacker i ett 3-4-försvar. Man måste vara en större, fysisk kille med bra snabbhet. Det är något som är en sorts (sällsynt) vara i dagens spel. Jag tror det är något jag kan bidra med.

Seeing a lot of teams go to the 3-4, I think helps me. Looking around, it's tough to find a whole lot of guys who have the size and weight to play outside linebacker in the 3-4. You have to be a bigger, physical guy with good speed. That's something that's kind of a (rare) commodity in today's game. I think that's something I can bring to the table.

I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship. Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win.

Toward the end of the game today, I said we've been hunting these teams, trying to get respect. And now maybe it's a situation where we're going to be hunted. We've got to understand the situation and stay as hungry and keep trying to prove that we're a good football team.

We will again play a challenging schedule. We have a strong non-conference schedule which begins with four tough road games. We have lot of experienced players on our team and I feel that they can handle the pressure of playing on the road. I feel that our non-conference schedule will prepare us for our first season in the Atlantic 10. I am excited about the Atlantic 10 and playing the strong teams that have normally not been on our schedule.

Det är fantastiskt att vara i en situation där man har bra spelare. Man inser ganska tidigt i den här branschen att man inte blir en bra tränare utan bra spelare. It is great to be in a situation in which you have great players. You find out pretty early in this business that without good players you will not be a good coach. I have been fortunate to be in a very good situation. My job as a coach is to make sure that we progress every year and we can be a championship contender.

Båda lagen kastade allt utom köksfläkten på varandra och så är det alltid när vi spelar mot Fitchburg. Det är en enorm rivalitet för båda lagen och det känns alltid bra att besegra dem. Both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and that's always the way it is when we play Fitchburg. It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them. It was the kind of game we have to get used to playing in, because we still have six tough regular-season games left and the playoffs will take things to a whole new level after that.
