en We're just one of 32 teams in the 2005 season, ... We're all trying to accomplish the same thing. We respect what has been done by everybody, whether it be the Packers, the Patriots, whoever. But it really doesn't mean anything right now. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. We're just trying to get our team ready to play -- this year.

en Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

en If he's such a team leader, then why is he on so many teams? He's on a different team every year. I really don't think he was one of our leaders last year. He came to the field, and there wasn't anyone else that came ready to play and hustle as much as he did during the season, but I think he might be a little mad because he's not on our team anymore. I don't know.

en In my case, going 4-12 ... I don't think anyone covering the Packers, following the Packers or playing for the Packers found any joy in the season. (Football is) in my blood. As time has passed, I've thought less about 4-12. My stance is ... I love to play the game.

en I studied everyone of their games this season and I can see why they?re one of the top teams in the league. I have a lot of respect for this team. I have a lot of respect for the way they play. It?s going to very, very tough for us.

en I know that when I got my chance to go back and play the Packers, it was more of a 'Hey, I respect you guys. I like you guys, but it'll be even that much sweeter to beat you guys,' ... I'm sure they feel the same way. We respect those guys. They went to another team to make more money, and we're not mad at them. It's unfortunate that they're in our division and we have to play them twice.

en It stood out because we know he can play. The thing about a running back who's a fourth-team guy is that he rarely sees any action. Q doesn't play special teams. Chances are, he wouldn't have played this year. So, we went in a different direction. I know he's a good player and I hope he gets picked up. He can play.

en From the first day of spring training, I told them 2005 is over. It's a new year and we're just like everybody else. Every team we play this year is going to be trying to knock us off, so we have to be ready.

en I think NHL teams and fans should know that if a $33.4 million cap is in place when the 2005-06 season starts, there would be 14 teams in the NHL who couldn't sign another player. Eleven teams would still lose money. The Toronto Maple Leafs, for the '05-06 season, would have $35.5 million and they would have nine players to play the games.

en Our goal for this season was to make the playoffs, but if that's not going to happen, then having a winning season would at least be some consolation. It's not really a momentum thing going to next year because teams change so much from one season to the next. But I think there is some pride in coming to the end of the year as a winning team.

en He would probably want to play, but he wants to play with a team that has a chance to win. The Packers really don't look like they are going in that direction right now, so maybe he's talking about another team. There are a number of teams that could use him. . . . There are a lot of moving parts in this that could include the draft and could maybe include Brett Favre.

en While we are excited to kick off the 2005 Patriots season this Thursday, we are also committed to doing whatever we can as an organization to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have seen the disaster hit home, with several of our Louisiana-born players affected by the tragedy. We hope that the incentive of game tickets will encourage Patriots fans everywhere to donate to this extremely important cause.

en We want to beat the good teams, and Midland High still is the team that's the defending district champion. We know these other teams and they know us. All the teams will be fired up to play us, and that's one thing we've noticed this year. Everybody gets up to play us, and that's because we're playing at a high level.

en We played them last year in preseason (a 31-0 Jaguars romp in an exhibition finale the Patriots' regulars sat and watched). We played them the year before that in the regular season. I think there's some application on those games. I'm not sure how much. We'll look at those But this team is this year's team just like we are and everybody else is.

en We have to be mentally prepared for every team we play. If we play a team who has a big name on their chests, then we are going to come out ready. But if we play a team who doesn't have a big name or a star player, we have a hard time coming out ready.
