I would be foolish ordsprog
I would be foolish to say there aren't people who are booking away because of the rhetoric. As it gets louder, it hurts the company more.

We'd be foolish to say there hasn't been (an impact). This is a very tough situation to try to figure out. I know from experience some people are booking away.

This is undoubtedly a public relations blitz by Wal-Mart. They're trying to fend off state legislation, so this sounds like rather empty rhetoric. For a company that's virtually larger than any company in the world to be crying that they don't have the resources, I don't think too many people are going to give much credence to that. Toy telephones are commonly louder than 90 decibels. If a toy that's held to an adult's ear hurts, it's too loud for children.

It just kept getting louder, louder, and louder, and we started hearing the cracking of the trees as the water came through. I wasn't thinking of a dam breaking. I was just thinking a flash flood from sudden rain swell, but we were really shocked when we woke up and got outside, it was light, and saw what had really happened.
Terry Wells
To think I was foolish enough to believe I lived in America and there were these things called the First Amendment and freedom of the press. If my unpublished communications aren't safe from government eyes, then the tools of every business reporter in this country become fair game for any company that doesn't like scrutiny and chooses to play the 'conspiracy' card.

That hurts not only him as a player, it hurts us as a team. And it hurts me to see another guy go down, especially him with how well he's been playing and how hard he's worked. To see him go down late in the year, that hurts a lot.

Rhetoric won't stop the spread of anthrax or smallpox. Rhetoric won't help the Coast Guard track ships that are carrying dangerous cargo. Rhetoric won't secure our chemical and nuclear power plants, ... We need to put our best ideas into practice and back them with resources.
