en Three weeks ago, I was one of those coaches. I worked at this craft for 35 years. I've been to two Final Fours, but not as a head coach. Twenty years I sat there, 'The Final Four,' hoping one day I might be able to bring a team there. Actually I think I changed my goals -- just give me an at-large berth, I would settle for that. You've got to understand how difficult it is, when you're not one of the top six or seven leagues, to get an at-large.

en If you sit close to the TV, you don't need to buy a very large screen. The general rule of thumb is take the diagonal of the screen in inches and multiply it by 3. That's the ideal space to keep between the set and yourself.

en We expect even more exciting additions in 2006. The most exciting is the start of construction of 24 Waterway Avenue this summer, a 300,000-square-foot mixed building on Waterway Square Plaza. Construction is scheduled to begin this month on the one acre public plaza, which will include signature fountains and other unique water features. Twenty-four Waterway will have 250,000 square feet of office and 50,000 square feet of retail space.

en A lot of pro tournaments are going to this large screen. I went to the British Open and they had a big screen. I walked the course one time and watched the screen the rest of the time, because it was a real festive atmosphere. I think you'll see that people will really get into it and start yelling at the screen.

en I'm looking forward to the possibilities of … such a larger space; we're going to use every square inch available.

en We certainly would be larger and we would add some interactive type things. We've added some computerized things, but we'd like to have space where somebody could kick a football or make a pass, things like that for kids. Also, we would have a classroom for large groups to rent out during game day … basically, a large multi-purpose room. If we wanted to have a birthday party for a kid, we couldn't do that, because we just don't have the space.

en The company was started with two people and 600 square feet of leased space at the back of a tool-and-die shop. Today we have 55 full-time and 10 part-time. On March 1, we will have 21,000 square feet of space.

en There have been a number of firms in the 50,000- to 100,000-square-foot range that are seeking office space in the Loop 360 corridor, and the largest block of (existing) space in Southwest Austin is 40,000 square feet.

en Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. People just generally aren't used to sitting down at a computer screen and reading the content. Screen delivery has come a long way, but it just is not there yet.

en The biggest surprise: watching video on the tiny, 2.5-inch screen (320 by 240 pixels) is completely immersive. Three unexpected factors are at work. First, the picture itself is sharp and vivid, with crisp action that never smears; the screen is noticeably brighter than on previous iPods. Second, because the audio is piped directly into your ear sockets, it has much higher fidelity and presence than most people’s TV sets. Finally, remember that a 2.5-inch screen a foot from your face fills as much of your vision as a much larger screen that’s across the room.

en A 500,000-square-foot building with one floor was unusual 10 years ago. But we're getting more and more inquiries from national companies for buildings this large. We had an inquiry last month for a building with 700,000 square feet. They're getting bigger.

en Today's average coin laundry features approximately 3,000 square feet of space. That's about 1,500 more square feet than 20 years ago. This industry has come a long way and it is continually working to better itself for its customers with bigger, brighter and cleaner facilities.
