Obviously (Lee) is an exceptional player. It was pretty obvious to me that the Koreans were trying to find him. The first touch that he made on the first goal was in my estimation brilliant.

I told them I was interested in players, not athletes. I want a baseball player. I can find a lot of guys who can dunk a basketball. I can also find a lot of guys who can't hit one. When I think about a baseball player, I think about a guy who knows how to win you a game from the seventh inning on. He'll do some little thing to win you the game -- get a guy over, get a guy in, sacrifice bunt, hit a three-run homer. Those are the guys that I want. I made it pretty obvious.

We would also like to have in place further education and training made available for players who need to find a new career after rugby has finished, ... Almost everyone wants to stay in the game when they retire from playing but it is pretty obvious that that simply isn't feasible.

We're not desperate to buy anybody. But if you find an exceptional player who can add a little class where we need it, we'll do it. He could be one of them.

I think I could be an impact player this season, ... When I'm out on the field, I'm not scared of anyone. I'm just going to move the ball -- boom-boom , one-touch, two-touch -- and when the right time comes and I've got somebody one-on-one, I'll take him. Every once in a while as a coach, if you're lucky enough, you get someone to come to you as talented as he is. Not only (is he) an exceptional player, he made everyone around him better. He's certainly one of the best that we've ever had at our college.

In my estimation, Marquis is the best defensive player in the Big East. He's the most disciplined player I've seen, like a quarterback in football he reads reports and watches tapes every day.

Chris, up top, is starting to find his scoring touch. It seems like we can count on him for a goal every game. I don't see how you're going to get value out of this player who, in my estimation, is one of the most valuable players in the league. Of course, I estimate him perhaps higher than other people. I think he's a terrific player. He adds a big dimension in every game he plays in.

He is a truly brilliant mind. His youth is an asset to us. He's a truly exceptional talent.

I thought it was great; every race doesn't have to be an epic death march. It was an exceptional course that made for exceptional racing. The top 10 was tightly packed (only 1:58 separated Landis from No. 10 finisher Jason McCartney of Discovery Channel). It made things more exciting; it added to the drama.

He had an exceptional night. He made some big plays tonight. We wanted to use his 6-foot-3, frame and he came up with some big catches. He's a special player.
