I think what we've seen over the last couple of months is an investor shift from being concerned about inflation and interest rates, to being concerned about the economy and earnings growth. Going forward, is there still adjustment in the pipeline? I think there is. The household savings rate is low, and debt growth has accelerated. That means that consumer spending growth is going to be slow. In the next 12 months, the economy is going to do well, but it will be a temporary acceleration rather than the beginning of a normal recovery.

Conditions will be similar to 2005, as the nation's economy continues to expand. There are imbalances in the economy that could slow growth as early as the second half of 2006 or even bring the expansion cycle to an early conclusion.
