en We're just trying to find the right combination. We'd lost three in a row, and that's pretty unacceptable. Our goal is to be relevant in the ACC race. So we're going to tinker until we think we have it right.

en It was a combination of a lot of things that we don't even know. We lost a little bit of our swagger, we lost a little bit of our confidence. I'm not sure really what it was. We kept trying to find it and kept trying to find it, but we couldn't find it quick enough.

en We sailed pretty solidly all week and today as well. Fortunes are won and lost pretty easily, race-to-race in this game. The guys all stayed level and we approached each race as it came.

en It?s been a race for a few weeks in my opinion. But that doesn?t mean we have to lose just because we have lost so much ground or they have gained so much. I think it?s a combination of both.

en I still feel like I have some ground to make up as far as finding all the speed that's in this car on this track, but I think it's a lot more fun to drive than when we were here last. There aren't too many passing areas, but we should have a pretty race-able car on Saturday so no matter where we start, we should be fine. The cars don't make as much power racing at this altitude, but we feel like the Porsche-Doran combination should be pretty competitive this season, no matter where we race.

en I'm looking forward to this end part of the season, ... Riding
the bike in Japan for a factory Honda rider is a real honour. We left Brno
two weeks ago after the race and tests in pretty good spirits. We found
some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.

en I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

en It was a little bit different because I'm not used to running the race. Each race is different in terms of strategy. The night before, my coach and I went down a race strategy and we talked about it before I ran. I kept that in my mind while I was running and I pretty much just stuck to it to get to my goal time.

en I think we've lost the set of keys right now. I don't want to tinker around with the carburetor ... I want to take the motor out.

en Before the (Tour) departure, I was in excellent condition. The first 10 days, I felt pretty good too. Then, once the mountains came along, it all went badly, ... Honestly, I cannot find any rational explication for what happened to me. I know, however, that I can do well in the race. The proof is that I have already finished fifth in the race [2000]. I finished on another occasion in the top 10 [ninth, in 2002]. I'm at ease with myself. I always prepare for a next race the best I can.

en Over the years that Greg and I have been together, winning two championships and never finishing worse than seventh in the points, I think we've got a combination that's pretty good and pretty successful. So, it's one of those deals where if it's not broke, don't fix it. Getting the crew chief-driver combination to work that well together is probably the hardest piece of the equation to get.

en When you're coming into something that is reasonably successful, the question always is, 'What are you going to do to make it more successful?' ... For me, it's just a question to find a way in which I can present material that I believe is relevant, and that there's a dialectic that begins to be created with the Seattle community. I mean, those are lofty ideas, but I think in presenting plays, there needs to be a combination of the plays that think [and] some understanding that theater should also be a place of pleasure and entertainment.

en His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. This is an unacceptable loss for us. We had the game in our hands and we lost it. We lost a very important point.

en It was pretty awesome to win. And it was a tough race to win. There was a lot beating and banging going on. We were pretty lucky to have stayed out there. I almost lost it a few times when guys were banging on me. But we were able to straighten it back up and keep going forward.
