Our goal was to get their big guys tired so they couldn't score so much. That's about all we could do with them.

When we're 25 yards away from the goal, we have to score. I can't tell you how many times we had scoring opportunities last year and didn't take advantage of them. I think that loss to Lincoln-Way really frustrated a lot of people. We just couldn't score and it was a bad way to end the season. I think these guys remember that game and want to make up for it.

Let's be honest, you don't want to go down two games to the Senators and we just had to give it our all. We're pretty tired right now but we're going to have 48 hours to rest up. Our top guys did the job tonight. (Richards) had a big goal, Marty got a big goal, that's all you can ask from those guys. We had so many opportunities to score; we just couldn't take advantage of it. We got a lot of shots off, but we just couldn't put them into the goal.

We came in wanting to focus on some of their guys but we couldn't recover from that first goal. They have a couple of guys that that really flow that team. After they got that first goal, we kind of hit the panic button.

That was a hard fought point for our guys. Our guys really battled, especially in the third period. That was really competitive and our guys really dug down when they were tired to get that timely goal.

Dontrelle came through again. I don't get tired of saying it. He keeps them in line and we always score a lot for him. Last time, we got him two and he couldn't hold it.

We can't come over here, just sit in and not try to score a goal, ... We don't want to lose 1-0 and then be full of 'what ifs' and wonder why we were not more attacking. If we go a goal down, it won't psychologically damage us too much because we will still have to score one goal to win the tie. If they scored early, our game plan wouldn't really change.

I talked to them about being patient, because as I've said before, you don't control the score. We handled some adversity. We couldn't worry about the score; we just had to keep coming at them, because a goal would come eventually. I thought we were better tonight at getting some chances. I thought we had a really strong game.

It was great to see (us) score goal right after they did. That's a characteristic of our guys. The first five minutes after a goal, they kind of bear down and play pretty well.

Of all the guys to score ... and to score the way he did ... to get a cheap goal like that.

Look, it's a long season and we had a young team and guys get tired at times. But we've played well lately. Our guys aren't settling. Our goal is to win the national championship.

I couldn't ask for a better game from them. I wasn't sure how they were going to handle three games in a row and they pulled it out and they still had enough energy to go. You can tell they were getting a little bit tired at the end but they still got hungry enough to put it in the goal cage.

They snuck the (winning) goal in toward the end. We got the (offensive) pressure (at the end), but we just couldn't score (again). It happens.
