I couldn't ask for ordsprog

en I couldn't ask for a better game from them. I wasn't sure how they were going to handle three games in a row and they pulled it out and they still had enough energy to go. You can tell they were getting a little bit tired at the end but they still got hungry enough to put it in the goal cage.

en There wasn't any panic on our side. We don't like going down a goal, but there wasn't any panic. And after that goal a lot of the energy came out of the game, and we started to call on the bench players to see if we could get it back. That was really the overall tactic that we thought Indiana couldn't last through.

en The last couple of games, I don't know if we're tired or what, but our energy just isn't there. We know we can score, that's not a problem. But when you talk about energy, it's got to happen on defense, and it wasn't there all night.

en I asked [Bud] Koper after the game why he didn't show up to eat and he told me he wasn't hungry. If I had a rule that said you couldn't start or couldn't play if you missed the pregame meal, then we would have lost the game [Koper scored 44 points in a victory]. Sometimes it's better not to have that many rules.

en I wasn't tired. I just wasn't fooling anybody. They were hitting pitches they were missing earlier in the game. I got behind on a few people ... and just couldn't put away that last out.

en We held them without a shot in the championship game, but couldn't seem to get the ball in the cage. I was pleased with how hard we played. I thought in both games we had a lot of intensity.

en It was a good thing that I always had to go somewhere today. You were pulled here, pulled there. It was either an interview with someone, or TV, or it was time to stretch, or get to the batting cage.

en We have to stay hungry. Our goal wasn't just to be ranked. Our goal is to win a Big Ten championship. We feel we're as good as anyone in the country.

en We learned that you have to be hungry. We have to be hungry 100 percent of the game. . . . From now on every game has to be played like a championship. A lot of guys who didn't step up the last two games, their manhood was questioned.

en We're a good skating team, but we need to identify some definitive goal scorers. In our last game (vs. C-C), we had 33 shots on net but only scored one goal. We need to do a better job of cracking the cage.

en They played back-to-back games and four games in five days and, for them, there wasn't going to be any difference between the fourth game (and the first). You just don't get tired if you're in good shape.

en I think fatigue caught up with us. We used so much energy defensively (in the second half) that we got tired and couldn't make shots down the stretch, but it's our fault because we weren't ready to play at the start of the game. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

en We've been in a lot of third-period games this year - either up by a goal or down by a goal - and haven't pulled many of them out. It was nice to do it on Al MacInnis Night.

en Even though this was a big game, this was a challenge for me personally because just playing past games and just always getting tired within three minutes. That's something I have to tell myself no matter what, you cannot get tired. Honestly that's what I had in my mind all night. I didn't want to get tired and I think I did a better job.

en I thought we had a better opportunity to sneak up on them after Hoptown's second goal. But our problem was, we couldn't handle their speed. We couldn't stay with them all over the field.
