en It was great to see (us) score goal right after they did. That's a characteristic of our guys. The first five minutes after a goal, they kind of bear down and play pretty well.

en You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. en I think (the Yucca Valley goal) put a little fire under our guys. en We can't come over here, just sit in and not try to score a goal, ... We don't want to lose 1-0 and then be full of 'what ifs' and wonder why we were not more attacking. If we go a goal down, it won't psychologically damage us too much because we will still have to score one goal to win the tie. If they scored early, our game plan wouldn't really change.

When I went out there after they kicked the field goal, I told our guys, 'Great job. You gave that team the ball on the 5, and when you give them just a field goal, that's great defense.

en Jenny and I were talking about offense before the game I said that I wanted her to promise me she would score at least one goal tonight. She made the promise and went out there and scored our first goal in under two minutes.

en It's a great win to end the (calendar) year for our fans. I should have had another goal later in the game, but my stick snapped. Just to score a goal and win is great.
