This is usually a slow time, the lull after Christmas.

I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

This is the seasonally slow time of the year for cell phones, and supply is still tight. What's going to happen in the September-October time frame when the Christmas season hits? I think you're going to see the situation get worse before it gets better.

Until just before Christmas, the big brokerage firms had tried to ignore it, as though it was some annoying insect that would eventually fly away. Now it's gotten their attention. But most of them are very slow to respond, and there isn't much time.

I intend to keep writing Christmas songs. There's still a lot more about Christmas that can be captured and feel like old-time Christmas. A lot of the traditions haven't been explained in song.
