en I'm different than a lot of pitchers. He hit a game-winning home run. Hey, you beat me. You can do what you want.

en We've just gone to two places and got beat pretty badly. We go back home, the last time we were at home we played a great game. We're one game away from a regular-season winning season, and that's something we haven't done (since 2002). We get the opportunity to do that Saturday.

en It's tough, but you've got to beat them. We want to win the game. They [Clemens and Pettitte] are very good pitchers. They are some of the best pitchers in the league.

en The pitchers on this staff have a lot of experience. They will keep us in a lot of games. Most of these guys have been on winning teams, so they bring that 'you aren't going to beat me' attitude to the table.

en It would have been pretty tough to go home losing five games in a row. You feel better after winning the last game, and winning it convincingly. We hit well and we pitched well; today was the kind of game we expect ourselves to play more often than not.

en We know we're going to play. Whatever happens, happens. If you get beat, you get beat. But it's really clear we're going to come out and play. We've been able to get off to a good lead because our pitchers have shut them down and our offense has done something. But we're ready for any kind of game.

en We really need to go out and beat Colorado on Saturday. They're still right at our heels, so it's important to get the win in that respect, but it also important to keep winning and keep the confidence high, especially at home going into the playoffs. I thought that we thoroughly deserved the game and I would have been disappointed if we didn't come out with a win.

en The upset formula is basically this. Everybody knows on any given night, the saying goes, that anybody can beat anybody. That's not actually true, because if there's a huge discrepancy in talent, if the game is played on the stronger team's home court with a lot of other factors in their favor, then the odds of [the underdog] winning are minimal. ... In this game, obviously, Connecticut has so much talent at so many different positions on the floor, we're going to have to really analyze what we do so that our players know, this is our focus, this is our strength.

en It's high time something was done for the pitchers. They put up the stands and take down fences to make more home runs and plague the pitchers. Let them revive the spitter and help the pitchers make a living.

en They handled us the last couple of times. They're confident they can go out and beat us, and beat us here. If we go out and play a good game tomorrow, take that game and win the series, then it will be an all right little home stretch.

en We came here talking about how this was a big game, not an ordinary game. We needed this win. We were on our home floor. It's important to protect the home court. If you can do that, you have a good chance of winning a Pac-10 championship.

en We beat two potential No. 1 seeds, and beat Tennessee on their home floor. That's huge. That was something we definitely focused on. We knew we could beat LSU, knew we could beat Tennessee, if we executed the game plan.

en You've got to realize it's not the end of the season. We know we can't lose any more home games. Our focus is on winning, just winning that one game.

en We're not messing around. We want to win every game from here on out. We have to or else we go home. I'll tell you what, we do have our thoughts in the right place, though, and that's winning. We're a winning football team, that's what we do.
