en Everyone is so excited about it. A lot of these kids, they just hear about the states, but they don't get to go because they are always in Syracuse or Albany or Buffalo.

I felt guilty being away from Buffalo, but Kirby was nice enough to sign 28 baseballs for me, to take back to all the players at Buffalo. Kirby was always a guy who was willing to give. He made people happy, and he's definitely going to be missed.

en I was excited by the idea of doing it [getting his first win] in Buffalo, but obviously we started on the road. The first win at any level has a very special meaning to me.

en We're excited and the kids are excited. I hope the results will be contagious, because I do think we've flipped a switch with these kids.
