en That darn first period. If we had a game we could start without the first period, we'd be in business.

en All three lines scored in that period. We didn't feel we were out of the game (after the second period). We tried to come out and win the third period to carry momentum into Saturday's game.

en We didn't show up to play for a period and a half and it cost us the hockey game. We played a great third period, but it's just one period -- we can't do it for 60 minutes. That's been our problem all season long.

en We have to start the game in a good way. I don't think we have to score in the first period, we don't have to score in the second period. We just have to score the first goal. If we do that in the third period, that's good. We just have to be patient.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en We had a terrible start, really came out flat in the first period, but we kept grinding away. Mats' line took control in the third period.

en I thought it was a tie game. First period was pretty even, both sides. The second period they totally dominated. I thought we had the better of the third period.

en I think a 10-day cooling off period would be a good start. I don't think a law should be passed without a waiting period that gives representatives time to think about what they are voting for and to get feedback from their constituents.

en We had our down period and we rebuilt. Now, New York is going through their down period. But they've got a lot of talent. They've got a lot of assets. They can start dealing their chips. Because anytime that you don't think that a big-money guy can be traded, it always happens.

en We put ourselves in a hole in the first period. I mean, they came out and outworked us. We didn't create enough and didn't play with enough energy. We have to play with more passion. They have to do it, have to find a way. That's part of the business that we're in. You can't come to play in the third period and expect to win a hockey game. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.

en That second period was the whole game. We had a real determined effort in that second period. That's the game, along with some timely saves by Jake (Moreland).
