Based on experience and word of mouth from last year's meeting, we are being swamped with corporations and physicians that want to be a part of the leading cosmetic training seminar that focuses solely on those physicians that are dermatologists, plastic surgeons, head and neck surgeons or ophthalmologists.

The number of targets is proliferating faster than the increase in the rate of joining all across the nonprofit economy. I'm convinced that if we look at the membership rolls of the associations that are complaining about membership, they're getting a lot of people rotating off and that's absolutely a function of competition.

We can't just program away these issues. We actually have to organize together and do aggressive lobbying down at the statehouse.

We've been hearing favorable comments from around the industry about initiatives where some associations will partner together to bring more resources to a location. It should make for a broad range of issues at the Expo, between the technical sessions, the business presentations, the political issues, as well as the full-day exhibit program.

We have a lot of things in the works. In addition to expanding our retail presence in the Northeast, we are also moving forward with significant new investments at home here in Maine.

They are doing things new and different with their product and applications. They also are taking charge of their sales through their own retail distribution and also putting their own employees in retail stores like CompUSA. So it's like taking charge of their destiny on the sales floor. But across the board in the broad PC space, we're very cautious right now.

This was due to a perceived lack of need, so clearly it's important that physicians and dentists and their patients with diabetes learn that they need to focus extra attention on oral health.

One of the issues physicians will be interested in is carefully looking at the data and the FDA's interpretation of it. The issue for us will be to persuade physicians that it is OK to deplete B-cells.

By engaging physicians to monitor their own performance, the program has recognized potential in improving quality and increasing efficiency of care, which benefits consumers, their employers and doctors.
