en I never really thought about all those events at one time like that. We have experienced a lot of things. I guess that's what makes a career.

en If you're from Minnesota, you know why I'm here. Follow your story. They didn't sit down and explain it to me. I thought I'd finish my career there, but I guess it was just time for me to go. I guess they got tired of me, or whatever. I'm a Raider now.

(Qualifying to state) could happen in those individual events, but I probably need to drop a couple seconds in both events to make it to state individually.

en His surf career is kinda over, so he's at a crossroads when a friend comes to him and says here's an opportunity to work with these girls. ... He has to make sure they train, don't stay out late, and show up to events on time. I'm grooming them for a pro career.

en The end game is not the whether he makes the team April 1. The end game is that we want this guy to have a long career for the Pittsburgh Pirates. We think he can do that. He just needs a little more time to keep building things up and getting sharper after missing the time he did.

en I wasn't concerned about my career at the end of the game. I was concerned about trying to help my team win. My career never crossed my mind until the final buzzer rang. I guess we just have to accept it and look back and see all the great things that happened this season. I am sure it will take a little while to do that, but when we do, we will be able to look back and smile at the end.

en Part of the journey is overcoming obstacles, and this was one I thought mentally and physically we were prepared for. I guess I'd say that Duke's experience in being in these types of games with experienced guys came through.
