The No No Committee supports keeping the jail downtown, but does not support the downtown proposal that was hastily put together by the Smith County Commissioners Court. That's a personal question that I'm not really prepared to answer. There is a lot of history there. From a business standpoint, yes. From a personal standpoint, I don't know. There have been just too many things that have happened.

We're talking about ending someone's life. It would seem like getting a second opinion is just logical. We should do everything we can to make sure there's a full consensus by reputable experts that the right decision is being made.
