I can't comment on players that haven't hit the market yet, but I will say that based on guys that are speculated to be free, it could be a buyer's market.

We've never been a big free-agency team because we don't believe that's the way to put a team together, exclusively. We believe that the draft will always be the main part of your team, but we also believe that you'll have to plug in the occasional free agent. In recent years, we haven't gone after the high-end market (players) because we've concentrated on keeping our own players, who may have been higher-end guys if they became free agents.

We're still not in a buyer's market. We're somewhere between a neutral market and a seller's market. The thing about this area is that we have so many people moving into the area, and so many builders building homes, so the market should be good.

Two things every American knows: the price at the gas pump and their house story. We all sense there is a shift in the market . . . from a seller's market to a buyer's market. We'll see more in the data in the coming months that will confirm what we all know.

For something where it?s a leisure draw, where there's no organization working collectively, like one of our races, then it's the free market. The hotels will set those rates based on what the market will permit, and that is pure supply and demand.

The free market would do us a lot of good; we don't have a free market. We have lost our free market to corporatists, who have come in to take their money and leave.

We've got to the 15th to try to get something done. In the meantime, I'm gathering all the information about what the available players on the trade market and the free-agent market are. We'll prioritize those. In the event on Nov. 16 we don't have Hideki Matsui, it will be another avenue to pursue.

It's a big deal because the market is so tight to begin with, and they're one of the major players in the condo market as well as the homeowners market. It just puts a lot of stress on the market.

They are unhappy with the behavior of the oil companies. These are free market guys. They believe the market works. But in this case they are concerned that the consumer was clearly taken advantage of ... and they're pretty angry about it.

It's hard to tell where the neutral point is, but it's fair to say that we are shifting from more of a seller's market to a buyer's market.

We're making a transition from a seller's market to a buyer's market. Inventory is starting to swell.

The market was following Nasdaq, but in a much calmer way than before. Also, trading was pretty thin, the final buyer was absent from the market.

In some cases, the full-size-truck buyer can sit on the sidelines and defer their purchase, We don't see this buyer leaving the market.

They probably would have preferred to go down that (listing) route, ... Clearly the market conditions are not right for that. You would expect though at some point the market would turn more favorable or they'll line up a trade buyer for it.

Finally, [the third] reason is that they target through the semi-custom product a well-heeled buyer, someone who has a little bit more money, a trade-up buyer.
