Pit road was tight ordsprog

en Pit road was tight all day. On one of our first stops, we were blocked in by the No. 10 and lost some track position. It was something we had to work around throughout the race. We're all thankful that John wasn't hurt during the stop and the fact that he even went back over the wall proves how dedicated and tough he and the others on our team are.

en It wasn't going too bad today, until I crashed into a wall! Up to then I was running sixth, and the car felt okay. Later in the race I was struggling a little bit, but it was okay until the rear end went away, and it just literally caught me out because into the corner the back went and I got it back around, but I just ran out of road and hit wall.

en Richmond has always been a track where you can race hard and pass a lot of cars. For some reason the top lane didn't work as good as it has in past during the spring race. I think that made it more of a one groove track and harder to pass. Hopefully that top groove will come in this weekend. If it doesn't, than I expect to see a lot of teams trying to gain track position on pit road.

en His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing.

en We clobbered the wall during the race, and the car just never handled after that. We had a blast though. I absolutely love this track. The crew was fantastic on pit stops all night and gave me the opportunity to win this race.

en It was a tough run and we tried really hard. The track changed a little bit from the morning to the afternoon which was a little bit to our favour. We tried something in the beginning of the top-six qualifying and it didn't work, and we had to stop right away. We used the tyres up and the track was better. At the end of the day, I don't think we would have been able to catch Ryan. He did a good job. Now we look forward to the race tomorrow and hopefully will do well.

en I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. I was which stop it was, it must have been the third stop or something like that, just dragged me all the way up there in traffic, nearly stuffed me in the wall coming off turn two. Then I went to the left. Then he dragged me all the way to the left going to the white line. But he stayed there. All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised; I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.

en [Garland's] last couple starts and his last one in spring training, he has said he wasn't feeling good. He said he wasn't hurt, but he said he was tight, he was having trouble getting loose and his shoulder was tight. Consequently, his ball wasn't sinking as much. That's his pitch, and it was taking a lot of work to get it up there.

en At Loudon, things can go one way or the other. It's very difficult to pass, and track position means a lot. Pit strategy means a lot too. We're going to concentrate on being as consistent as possible throughout the race. At a track like this, you want to work to make sure you come out with the best finish possible, which will help the team at least maintain their current position in the point standings and possibly pick up some more points as well.

en Dover is a tough track to repeat success on. It's so fast. Just the fact that the track is concrete, and you are constantly being thrown towards the wall coming out of the corners, makes this a difficult track for everyone. You have to be aware of everything going on, because things happen quickly and sometimes there's just nowhere to go.

en We got stops in overtime when we needed them. Iverson is so tough to stop and you're never really going to stop him. We tried to make him take tough shots and make them take tough shots. It's a big win for us. To come on the road and keep this winning streak is great. It's very satisfying to get this win after working like we did tonight.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en He's the complete package. He stops the ones he shouldn't stop and he stops the ones he should, and then you add in the fact that he's a third defensemen back there. He's an incredibly gifted skater. He's a special guy.

en It was pretty tough. The injury hurt even more when we lost that game. Then, it hurt worse when we lost (to Faith). There wasn't anything I could do other than try to give morale support.

en I'm very pleased with this result. Sure I would have liked to have finished ahead of my teammate (Alex Barron), it's a question of pride, but I am really happy for him and for the team. We had a good weekend. Qualifying wasn't that great, but we got it back during the race. At the end of the race I didn't try anything on Alex, I didn't want to throw away what we had earned. Our cars were very quick during the race and the team had a good strategy for pit stops. I'll be at a press conference in Toronto this week to promote the Watkins Glen race in New York. After that I'll head home to Las Vegas.

en It will be great to be back in Charlotte this weekend. It's always good to race close to home. We had a disappointing race there earlier this season and we know that we can run well there. They have a new surface on the track and that will make the track very fast and I like fast. That will be awesome and work to our advantage. The team plans on focusing on a top five finish and hopefully shake off some of this bad luck we have been experiencing. We have a great team and we plan on showing that at Lowe's.
