I started to shoot the puck more. I don't know if I've got more confidence, or what it is. I could say it's good coaching.

We got our confidence. We knew we could shoot good. We just went out and started making them.

Kennedy's really good with the puck down low. He'll also hit though. We can all shoot, we can all find the back of the net, we're all good at moving the puck.

I think we've all seen that we've scored a lot of goals lately, and that hasn't been the case for a long time here. I think many players have confidence to make plays and shoot the puck and other players feed off that. And that raises the confidence in the dressing room.

At training camp, we had to decide what kind of player he should be. Should he just shoot the puck, or should he be a steady defenseman who could do other things? He's got to do more than shoot the puck to play at this level. He had to learn that. He's still not nearly out of the woods, but he's made progress in the games he's played.

When he first came, his play was OK and then it's dropped off of late. I think he's lost his confidence a little bit. He's got to shoot more. He's got to go to the net and be a little more greedy with the puck.

We shot the puck a lot and I appreciate that and I wish others would shoot more. I think on the power play we could shoot the puck much more.

It shows you to just shoot the puck. And the lesson learned hopefully for a lot of our guys is just shoot the puck and you have a chance to score. If you don't, you're not going to score.

He's got a big shot and he's using it. He's hitting the net. He's playing with more confidence. He's getting involved, he's getting up into the attack and that is giving him opportunities to shoot the puck. One of the big things we've been on him about is to make sure he hits the net. He's been doing that.

Nobody shot the puck like Brett did. He transformed the way a generation of players shot the puck. He perfected the one-timer. It was transition in the game. He had great input into how guys would shoot the puck.

We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

My game's a little shaky. I could go out and shoot four under, I could go out and shoot four over. It's kind of in between. The momentum for me is making a few putts early on and getting that confidence that I'm going to have a good day.

One of the toughest things has been dealing with children brought up differently than when I first started coaching, ... Kids aren't as disciplined as they once were. There are some good boys, but also some mischievous ones. I can sure tell a difference after 50 years of coaching.

Peter's got a good feel for the puck in the offensive part of the game. He's a give-and-go player and he knows what to do with the puck. He's got good vision and he gets his stick on the puck. He's got some good anticipation. I think his skill dictates top two lines and that's where he'll get a lot of opportunity in those areas, and we'll see what he does with it.
