At training camp we ordsprog

Vid träningslägret måste vi bestämma oss för vad för typ av spelare han skulle vara. Skulle han bara skjuta pucken, eller skulle han vara en stadig back som kunde göra andra saker? Han måste göra mer än att bara skjuta pucken för att spela på den här nivån. Det måste han lära sig. Han är fortfarande långt ifrån ur skogen, men han har gjort framsteg i de matcher han har spelat.

At training camp, we had to decide what kind of player he should be. Should he just shoot the puck, or should he be a steady defenseman who could do other things? He's got to do more than shoot the puck to play at this level. He had to learn that. He's still not nearly out of the woods, but he's made progress in the games he's played.

Det är ett bättre spel i vår liga att bara skjuta mot målet och skapa kaos. Det är något han kommer att lära sig med lite mer erfarenhet.

A lot of times with the width of the rink you have bad angles ... you're always looking to pass the puck because you think somebody's going to be in a better position (to shoot). It's a better play in our league to throw it at the net and scramble things up. That's something he'll learn with a little more experience.

Some games you need to use as learning tools. They pass the puck well, shoot it and play good hockey. It's good for our girls to see that. There's a lot to learn from a team like that.

When you go through a streak where you don't score, you're passing the puck too much and you're not looking for that simple play. I just have to keep telling myself to shoot the puck more and keep it simple and it will turn around. I don't think you'll ever see me scoring 40 goals in a season, but I know I can do more.
