Although I'm extremely bullish on the chip segment, Micron is the one stock I'm not recommending, ... I think they're going to have to tread water until they can demonstrate that they are able too increase their profitability. Right now it looks to me like there's too much DRAM supply.

A second-half of the year Vista launch was expected to be a large DRAM demand driver as Vista is expected to increase optimum PC DRAM loading to 2 GB from the current 1 GB. With Vista now delayed until 2007, DRAM demand drivers in the second half of the year could be absent.

Extending the water supply during this extremely dry period through the efficient use of our existing water resources is crucial to meeting long-term needs.

I think it and the others will benefit as we see higher profits from the refining segment as well as from the oil production segment of their business. At Edward Jones, we're long-term investors, so we actually don't set target prices. But I think definitely the stock has room to rise. And I think the merger with Mobil ( MOB ) will in fact provide a bump in the stock price later this year.

Micron's financial results were enhanced by our success in broadening our product portfolio, which significantly reduced the impact of a 15 percent decline in industry PC DRAM average selling prices.

We're not recommending purchase of it, but I do think that the worst is probably behind. I do think that there is probably a bounce due in the stock. It's Microsoft's turn at the plate, if you will. I think the actions really will start to play in their favor. I think a stock buyback program begins within the next six-to-eight weeks. I think that's one line of defense that the company has for the stock.
