It's a spot I'm ready for now as a senior. I'm a co-captain, I know the routine, I'm realistic about my game and how I fit in.

We are disappointed that Will is leaving the Fire. We believe he could have had a bright future with our club, however, he was adamant about securing a Senior roster spot as opposed to a Developmental slot. When we looked at the depth of talent on our Senior roster, this was simply not a realistic option.

It's a huge honor to be chosen captain. Especially with the senior class we have. It's been a goal of mine since I got here to become captain and to lead this team, but it really is the entire class. We're such a strong unit that even though the three of us many share the title, it's not just the captains leading this team, it's the whole senior class.

He was down here [in the clubhouse] in the third inning, getting ready for the game. He starts his routine a lot earlier than most guys I've ever seen. I walked in here to get warm for a split second in the third, and I saw him getting ready, so I thought maybe I need to get ready, too. That way, when I went in to hit, I didn't feel rushed.

We have a senior, veteran captain on the mound, and we will expect that he comes out and gives us a chance to win early in the ball game.

Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to.

Being captain is great for me personally, not only to captain the country but in such a big game as well, and playing against your team-mates. I'm not a vocal captain, like other people. I just try to lead by example.

Katie called a real good game; she was the leader, she was the captain. The home run, that set the tone, and it was apparent that she was ready for the game. She had her focus all game.

He's kind of like our big brother. That's what a senior should be, and he's everything that a senior should be and a captain should be.

We felt like we just starting to do some things, and play Riverside's type of basketball, and were getting ready to make a run. It was a pretty major injury, her head and lower back and legs were hurting, and it hurt us to lose our senior leader and our captain.

He just can't get into a routine between at-bats. The whole thing is getting into a routine is get ready for the next time. He had trouble doing that.

We'll probably go through the same routine we did for that game. We'll get up about 6, have breakfast at 7 and then get ready to play.

This was my doing. Rather than having eight days between our last game and the conference tournament, I chose to play another game. I'm a creature of habit and I'd rather have a routine that I stay in. Now, we better be ready (tonight). We have to be prepared.

It's a respect thing. If Teddy or the other senior players didn't respect me as captain, I wouldn't be captain. It's give and take and treat other people as you want to be treated. There is not one dominant voice as people might think. Everyone really does try to be a leader on the pitch.

A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through. They told me during last night's game that I might be starting today. I did my normal day before routine so I would be ready.
