That's super-important to us. We're a part of the Smithsonian, the national museum of the United States. We need to be taken seriously. At the core of it, we're an educational entity.

It was a surprise, ... We knew we were going to Washington, D.C., to take part in the First Americans Festival at the opening of the National Museum for the American Indian, with the Smithsonian, but we did not know that we had been invited to sing at the White House until we were already in Washington. So that was pretty exciting.

With millions of people walking through the National Museum of the American Indian, there is a solid vehicle at the national level to expose people to Indian arts and crafts. This underscores what we have known all along, that these museums are important but they serve a regional rather than a national audience. It is more appropriate for a regional entity to manage them.

I think this is a production of a record company, is not part of the movement. Somebody should translate exactly the national anthem of the United States, into Spanish, and into Korean, for that matter, many other languages, so people know exactly the meaning, the history and the words in the national anthem.

The Thai military is only among the latest who are far ahead of the United States in recognizing that sexuality and gender identity have zero impact in having someone doing their job. The United States should follow Thailand's example. It's a matter of national security.

We can and will do both. It is important to remember that there are more than 300,000 National Guard, soldiers and airmen who are not deployed overseas. And they are available for relief and security efforts in the United States should they be necessary.
