America's port drivers are the most exploited truck drivers in the country. Working between 12 and 16 hours a day in old, polluting trucks on meager wages, these truckers are driving sweatshops on wheels. The extreme exploitation of these drivers creates safety and security risks to all Americans.

Truck sales in Minnesota are big. They're huge. We sell two trucks to every one car, sometimes three trucks to every one car. And this has been a Ford truck area.

We'll need to find a whole lot more rail cars that may not be readily available. There's also concern about trucks, and the truck drivers needed for moving this are in short supply.

Truck drivers were hard to find before. That's a very vulnerable area now. Without trucks there are no ships. Without ships there are no jobs.

We are proud that, with the introduction of this new truck, we have achieved Sterling's vision of being a full-line provider of vocational trucks. Not only is this a logical next step in the growth of the company, but it also provides a platform for future product introductions.

It's a needed part! If John and I weren't working here, it wouldn't be happening. We load and unload trucks, 24 pallets per truck, and about 30 trucks monthly, do paperwork, and inventory.

There are smaller trucks going out. This should not concern a lot of traffic. It's typically three-axle trucks. If it's a two-axle truck, it's likely just fine.

Larger companies generally have a cut-off of 21 years. We can take drivers at 18 because they can drive dump trucks. Or if it?s their own company, they can drive trucks within the state.

Given the industry's reliance on trucks as the primary means of transporting farm animals, the USDA's failure to apply the Twenty-Eight Hour Law to trucks renders the act virtually useless, ... Transporting farm animals for 28 or more hours without rest, food, or water is clearly inhumane, and the USDA's failure to place any time limit whatsoever on truck transport is indefensible. If the USDA doesn't understand the definition of 'truck,' we would be happy to send over a dictionary.

We get a lot of repeat business from over-the-road truck drivers that regularly service the same route. They have come to expect quality and consistency. But more importantly, we understand what their needs are. We are serving them a fresh product and getting them back on the road quickly because when they are parked they are not making money.

So as I pulled into the truck stop driveway, this trucker was waiting on me. He informed me that he had seen the boys get out of a truck and approach some trucks near the fueling island, ... I directed Officers [Landon] Dean and [Chris] Newkirk over to the island and then I followed them over there shortly thereafter -- and they already had them. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. So as I pulled into the truck stop driveway, this trucker was waiting on me. Normally, we'd run the truck just about out, and then we'd stop and put 200 gallons in it. But we're not going to do that now. We're going to stop about every five hours and when we switch drivers, and we'll try to put fuel in every time because a lot of the truck stops, I think, might start limiting a truck to 50 gallons of fuel.

While it's admirable to sponsor minority NASCAR drivers, it would be even more admirable if the company paid and rewarded its own sanitation truck drivers decently.

That shows the potential of the new truck product to help GM truck sales over the course of the year.
