You really couldn't draw it up better than this -- the No. 3 in the country, rivals and not to mention the playoff implications for the last home game, this is the perfect game. If we win it would be a very memorable night.

I like the finals format but I don't like the first two rounds. It's never going to be perfect until we get a best-of-five of the first round and get to play our first game at home. Every home game at Nebraska has a great atmosphere, but there is added electricity for a night game at Memorial Stadium. It will also allow us the opportunity to get prospects here from all parts of the country into Lincoln to see the best game-day atmosphere in college football.

In the first game, the puck went in real quick. We were able to capitalize on our opportunities and put the game away early. Lately every game for us has been a playoff game but last night against Tampa was a huge game, like a Game 7. But we told each other not to play tight, just to play hard. And we did. We played as a team and you saw what happened.

The toughest game to win in the playoffs is your first home game. And I'm not sure we even deserved to win the game. But it's a huge win, because every win at this time of the year is big. To draw first blood is really important for us.

Over the course of my career there's been many that have been memorable...without reservation, the most memorable night I've ever had coaching was not winning the National Championship, that was a great night. But it probably was the night we played Bowling Green and won here to go to the Joe in our first year of our program.

It's an important game for us. We lost a road game and we've got a home game against a team that's certainly a playoff contender. We make them one step closer to (the Region V Tournament in) Lubbock if they win.
