Nay, We gave provision to these and their fathers until life was prolonged to them. Do they not then see that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? Shall they then prevail? / Say: I warn you only by revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call whenever they are warned.

That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

We try to warn them of the risks but they are deaf to what we say.

I warn you not to be ordinary, I warn you not to be young, I warn you not to fall ill, and I warn you not to grow old.
