Northwest has been losing a fair amount of money for a while now. I expect they feel they need to move forward quickly on these cost savings given where fuel prices are and going into the weak winter season.

Refiners are selling off all supplies of winter grade fuel in advance of next Tuesday's deadline. That has put extra supply on the market, sending prices lower. Motorists can expect to see prices stay near current levels for a couple of weeks. After that, with the extra winter grade supply used up, motorists should expect more upward pressure on retail gas prices.

Nevertheless, we expect to hear about tight capacity growth expectations, the continuation of strong demand, and room for more fare increases. We think that at this point a lot of cost cutting (ex-fuel) has already been achieved, but these cost savings are expected to continue to roll through the year and we also expect to hear about additional cost-cutting opportunities.

Frontier Airlines is already losing money. JetBlue and AirTran are on the edge, and Southwest, had it not hedged fuel, would be losing money. Anything with a wing has problems with today's fuel prices. But if oil had stayed where it was a year ago, like we thought it would, we'd be talking today about how profitable the airlines are today.

It's not all passed along, ... it can't all be passed along. Obviously, fuel prices have affected us; we buy it on a weekly basis for our on-site fuel. Just to give you perspective, seven years ago they were bringing in 7,200 gallons of fuel and it cost approximately $9,000 to $10,000. You're pushing $20,000 right now. We're losing some profits. Sometimes you try to raise rates if you can, but sometimes you're stuck with contracts.

Maybe it's because we have two oil men in the White House who don't seem to have the sensitivity of understanding the nature of these energy impacts upon the American people, both in gas prices and as we look forward to the upcoming winter season in terms of home heating fuel costs as well,

[All these improvements cost money, however. White says GM was able to offset some of the added cost of upgrades in fuel economy and handling with efficiencies in purchasing and assembly. But that doesn't cover the whole tab.] The trucks have more content, but we offset the cost with some savings elsewhere, ... It's not thousands of dollars more.

The market dynamics at the time (that) we were considering those cases distorted the market and resulted in prices that were probably not going to be sustained through the course of this year. Natural gas prices are now down $3 to $4, which will mean real relief for Wisconsin ratepayers. I expect that every Wisconsin utility will come forward to adjust rates. We will work quickly so utility customers experience timely savings.

Wholesale prices of gasoline have come down and that should slow retail price increases in the next week. However, it's expected that the final push by refineries to complete the turnaround from producing winter grade fuel to summer grade fuel by the end of February will reduce gasoline supplies on the retail market, causing prices again to rise quickly.

Winter is not over and we still have a national energy problem to solve, but the wholesale cost of natural gas is trending down slightly and we are passing those savings along to customers. These lower prices, although still high by historical standards, should be welcome news to customers who have been challenged to pay this winter despite warmer weather.

Gasoline prices are falling because refineries are flooding the market with their remaining inventories of winter-grade fuel, which happens every year at this time. The slight downward trend should continue for a couple of weeks. Refineries begin shipping summer-grade fuel on March 1st. After then, motorists can expect to see prices turn upward again.

Fuel is charged in dollars and if our currency is losing value to it then it means we have to cough a lot more of the local currency to meet the cost. This scenario will in turn have an impact on fuel prices.

The customer savings analysis shows the details of the savings that are equal to 22 percent or $40,553 for the term of the contract. Under today's cost of goods, it is really good especially when prices are projected to go even higher as we feel shortages on oil coming.

Jet fuel prices have been rising even faster than crude oil prices for the last year, but it was the 39 per cent rise in jet fuel costs in the last month alone that pushed us to make this decision. We have made incredible progress in lowering our operational costs for over two years now. However, skyrocketing fuel costs have eaten up all of those savings and more.

At this point, there's just too much focus on reducing cost and showing everyone how pretty the digital magazine is. A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest. All the suppliers have delivered what they said they would with the technology, but there just hasn't been a lot of forward momentum in four years. To be fair, the media companies are also lacking in vision. They have only focused on the cost savings, but there's a lot more we can do.
