To this point it's probably a good thing he hasn't had to do that. To what extent he could do it if he had to throw, I don't know.

He's not really had to make a throw, we've only had one throw from a first baseman all spring. While he's probably throwing about what I expected right now, he's still got a ways to go. He hasn't had to make a throw to second, hasn't had to make a quick, hard throw and we don't know what's going to happen until that happens.

Obviously what we want to see, what the Russians want to see, I think what the EU-3 want to see, what the IAEA want to see, is Iranian cooperation. To the extent that they do that, it's a good thing. Does this statement by this one person constitute that? At this point, it's just hard to say. We'll have to see.

Obviously, it was good for me to not have a high pitch count those two innings, but I really needed to throw, ... Garner knows at this point in the season I'm available to do whatever he needs. Because our setup guys have done such a great job this year, I haven't had to throw the eighth inning at all, and that's really spared me to this point.

Coach Fowler operates as he sees necessary. When he has something to tell us, he'll share something with us. It hasn't reached that point yet. Until then, he'll move forward -- away from the public eye -- with a very small circle of advisors, and that's a good thing. No news can mean good news.

Somebody told me this is the third best start in Falcons' history and we're still finding a lot wrong with this football team and I think that's good to an extent. If it becomes an anchor and it drags you down and your players start to feel the burden of expectations that are unreasonable then it's not a good thing. I don't think we're at that point. I think we're at a good spot. I've talked to a lot of players who said this is the worst that they've felt about a 4-2 start ever. Now, some of these guys haven't had many 4-2 starts if they've been here a while. We just have to keep it in perspective.

I can't say that it's been any one thing that you can point to and say, 'That's the problem,' ... He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. It's a lot of little things that add to the bigger picture. Defense wins games, and we haven't been playing it. We've been very inconsistent. Offensively, the continuity hasn't been there. It's one or two passes and a shot goes up. Our execution hasn't been there, and that's why we've lost some of these games that we could have won.

You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

Mike McMahon will be our starter, ... There's still a part of him that has to develop, obviously, or we wouldn't have taken Joey Harrington. But that's not the point. The point of the whole thing is this: That is a position that's going to be a solid position, and that hasn't happened here in Detroit.

Baseball hasn't forgotten me. I go to a lot of old-timers games and I haven't lost a thing. I sit in the bullpen and let people throw things at me. Just like old times.

This was the extent of my ability at this point. Overall, my skiing was not very good.

We have a pretty good running game. I don't think [Orton] is going to have to win every game. Hopefully we put him in situations that are favorable. Rookies tend to struggle because sometimes they're not afraid to throw certain balls that they shouldn't throw. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's not.

It can't be a real significant injury because it's hard to believe somebody can throw 98 miles an hour and have a serious arm problem. He hasn't had any discomfort at all. He hasn't had any complaints since going to the 'pen.

Andy didn't throw an 11-4 game. It's a shame. I know it's an oversimplification but there are really three aspects to this game -- you have to hit the ball, throw it and catch it. And this week we haven't been able to put all of those together. Our consistency has to get better. They can be a really good team -- there's a lot of potential there. But when you don't do everything right, every little thing gets magnified. They have to realize how good they can be.

The main thing is we don't want the public to really panic about this. It's a new disease. At this point, there hasn't been an immediate threat.
