en I've always been more comfortable making my decisions from the subconscious level, or more emotionally, because I find it is more truthful to me, Intellectually, I don't think like that because I get uncomfortable. I'm more wary of my intellectual mind, of becoming delusional if I think of it too much.

en They made my point for me, ... The decisions were not made in the principals' process, in the deputies' process, in the policy coordinating committee process. They were not made in the statutory process.

en Family companies tend to be intuitive and instinctive. The business and the culture is in their blood, which means they don't have to spend a lot of time with analysis, poring through reports or making decisions.

en I think everyone who makes movies should be forced to do television. Because you have to finish. You have to get it done, and there are a lot of decisions made just for the sake of making decisions. You do something because it's efficient and because it gets the story told and it connects to the audience.

en When you're an economist trained in conceptual stuff, you tend to be less intuitive. You fall back on this conceptual framework that the profession has invested a lot of time in.

en It's not over. The houses still have to go through a lengthy review process and a normal regulatory review process, including an EIR [Environmental Impact Report] and permits from the city and the natural resource agencies.

en I probably forced it. I just tried to make a play and made some bad decisions.

en It is intellectually dishonest to look backwards with all the facts and judge the decisions that were made with almost none of the facts, or the facts that existed hidden in the normal cloud of endless speculation of what might happen.

en We continue to look at a number of opportunities for potential acquisitions but no decision has been made yet. We have to continue our review process and it requires a long time because we have to review a whole range of factors to make sure we make the right choice.
