I think I've got a good opportunity in these five races ... Maybe some doors open up. My focus is to gain experience in this and try to win the Champ Car World Series title again this year.

Paul Tracy (1968-)

Everything started coming into my head, ... I was the youngest world champ and now I'm the oldest world champ; it's been seven years since I won my last title and this is my seventh one ... but all those numbers and things are not as important as the feeling.

I am extremely excited to join the Champ Car team as President. I have been amazed at the progress the series has made over the last twelve months and look forward to continuing the momentum and successes long into the future. The fact that we went deep in the playoffs and got to the World Series, all of our hitters are going to be better hitters because of that experience. Jason Lane's a better hitter. I was watching the World Series video over the weekend. Jason's at-bats in the World Series were pretty impressive. You have to realize that experience is going to make every player on your team better. They're experienced World Series players.

The Champ Car Atlantic Championship is much more than just a support series - it is a very competitive major open-wheel proving ground that helps build and develop the future stars and champions of Champ Car. We're proud of the tradition of Atlantics and we welcome in the future of the series at this unprecedented event in the rich history of the Atlantic Championship.

I think it will be a neat experience. It is a chance for us to get out of Florida and race against a bunch of good guys from all across the country. I just want to come up there and be in the hunt. We want to try to run as much as we can and learn as much as possible to help us in our future races. If things go well, we could try and do more races in the series.

The game is not a blockbuster title in the video game market, but as far as poker goes, (World Series of Poker) is the title you want to have. Activision is doing well with Tony Hawk, and World Series of Poker is just a good game to have in their system.

Until this year, I only competed in three oval point races in the Cup series, ... Racing is all about experience and I am getting there. I have now raced in nine oval races in total -- that's not a lot, but I feel we have the resources to set a realistic goal of finishing in the top 20 this weekend.

Right now we are not eyeing any world title. I want Rey to gain more experience, to be exposed more and fight different kinds of boxers.

Winning is all I can try to do now. Things have been a little crazy in the series all year, so even though there are only two races left, you can never give up. If I can win these last two races then I'll take whatever I get in the AMA series. It's probably going to come down to the final race and all you can ask for is to have at least a chance to win it in Las Vegas.

Now that they have cancelled the last three races, I guess that is where we are ending up, ... Second in the points is good and I'm really happy to be Rookie of the Year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with more races. I don't think that the series ever got going the way that people would have liked.

This series will help us know how good a side we are. With the World Cup round the corner, it is important we use this series to gain consistency.

The SRL Super Late Model Tour sanctioned by ASA will be a final destination series for many, but also an excellent stepping stone for those drivers and teams that are planning on advancing their careers in stock car racing. The opportunity will be there to learn and gain experience and then move up the ladder to the NASCAR Grand National West Series if that is the desire.

It's nice to have the opportunity to win every year but it wears on you to know you have to win the World Series for it to be deemed a good year,
