Until this year, I only competed in three oval point races in the Cup series, ... Racing is all about experience and I am getting there. I have now raced in nine oval races in total -- that's not a lot, but I feel we have the resources to set a realistic goal of finishing in the top 20 this weekend.

I think he raced good. He's starting to impress me. Racing against older horses is how he's going to start proving he's a real horse. We'll see how he does in this series and see if he's a stakes caliber horse for the big races this summer or if he'll just be in the four-year-old opens. This is the test.

Winning is all I can try to do now. Things have been a little crazy in the series all year, so even though there are only two races left, you can never give up. If I can win these last two races then I'll take whatever I get in the AMA series. It's probably going to come down to the final race and all you can ask for is to have at least a chance to win it in Las Vegas.

We are going to run the full (NASCAR Craftsman) Truck Series. We are going to run six Busch races and probably six or seven ARCA races. At this time, it's the best way for our program. Our ultimate goal is to get Erin Crocker to be competitive at the Nextel Cup level. We are just looking at changing our steps a little bit, and we feel that the plan now is a little better plan than we originally came up with.

I think it will be a neat experience. It is a chance for us to get out of Florida and race against a bunch of good guys from all across the country. I just want to come up there and be in the hunt. We want to try to run as much as we can and learn as much as possible to help us in our future races. If things go well, we could try and do more races in the series.

This is different racing from what I'm used to, but to see 43 of them run through the tri-oval and come in for their pit stops, it's pretty neat. It doesn't give it justice to watch it on TV. Once you're here, you get a better feel for it.

A lot of people their first year racing may have a hard time finishing. Races are short and fast. You can be fit, but you might not have bike handling skills. It's very challenging.

[Miller won both races on this course last season.] Last year I blew the downhill open here, ... but I would expect two tight races this weekend.

Now that they have cancelled the last three races, I guess that is where we are ending up, ... Second in the points is good and I'm really happy to be Rookie of the Year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with more races. I don't think that the series ever got going the way that people would have liked.

He's a lightly-raced 5-year-old. He races five or six races a year.

I had thought the year following the 2004 Olympics would not be so busy. But it turned out to be very busy. I competed in Golden League races and world championships and quite a few domestic races.

In order to make that playoff in September, or even to make the top-10, you have to finish races. Last year we focused on being fast and racing hard to win races; this year we are going to take a more conventional approach and improve our package as a whole.

I think my championship aspirations are the same as they've been every year. Our goal is to win races, and I think the last season we really had the speed and we had the ability to win a lot of races, but bad luck and some mistakes really cost us.

Paul Tracy (1968-)

It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

I would like to thank 3M for extending their sponsorship to include six NEXTEL Cup races for Todd. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. He has exceeded my expectations in the Busch Series so far this year and we are going to do everything we can to make his transition to NEXTEL Cup as smooth as possible. Having him compete in six races later this year will certainly help advance his learning curve.
