The explosion did displace manhole covers — two round steel ones — and it also displaced a concrete cover as well.

If there is an explosion and a manhole (cover) becomes a projectile, it could cause injury and possibly death.

It is really tough. The building was made of steel and concrete. The steel is just twisted like pretzels; the concrete is just basically disintegrated.
