He's a poster boy for Major League Baseball. We got our lead guy and it's a great thrill for the organization.

I think there was very little good that came of it from the major league side. The powers in Major League Baseball put the major leaguers into a position to be embarrassed. Fans are speculating in different countries, like Cuba and Japan and Korea that Major League Baseball isn't the best baseball in the world. I think it is, if the competition is fair.

Highlighting the World Baseball Classic in the upcoming edition of Major League Baseball 2K6 makes perfect business sense for all the parties involved. The World Baseball Classic is going to be a winner and will highlight the appeal and passion for baseball throughout the world. Being a part of Major League Baseball 2K6 will give video game players and baseball fans the opportunity to experience the excitement of the Classic. It's a natural extension.

The Reds fully support Major League Baseball's minor league drug policy and its penalties. The organization does not condone in any way the use of illegal drugs.

The governor has said that at some point in time, it would not be unlikely to hear from Major League Baseball that it is looking at other possibilities, and among those possibilities is that Major League Baseball would consider moving the team or looking at other markets.

I am acutely aware that this organization needs to demonstrate to all the communities and business in this entire region that this is a Major League Baseball franchise and will be treated as such.

Over the years, he has demonstrated considerable skill in working through the labyrinth of our minor league system. I have great confidence that he will be an enormous success in this key position.

It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

This will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase one of the great cities in America and one of the great ballparks in Major League Baseball. And what better place to have our first World Baseball Classic finals than in a city and with a team that has such strong international roots and international outreach.

We are excited to join these two iconic brands -- America's favorite hotel and America's favorite pastime. Linking Holiday Inn and Major League Baseball is a natural and logical move. Research shows that large numbers of baseball fans are also loyal Holiday Inn guests, and vice-versa. We look forward to the possibilities of what we can accomplish together with Major League Baseball for our mutual fans.

Major League Baseball has not yet been provided with the filings made by the D.C. Sports & Entertainment Commission with the City Council last Friday, nor the text of the legislation passed by the Council last night. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. We are very concerned about what we heard during the debate, and we need to read the materials and the legislative language so we can determine whether they are consistent with the agreements between Major League Baseball and the city.

Major League Baseball helped kicked this off during the World Series when this was fresh on everybody's mind. Unless you are living in the Gulf Coast, you are probably thinking about other things other than families down there and what they have to go through. We have to be there today, tomorrow and beyond and Major League Baseball has been a big part of that.

He has the chance to become a tremendous major league player. The Devil Rays look forward to him joining what we think may be the best nucleus of young players in all of major league baseball.

Hopefully everyone stays healthy and their performance will dictate what happens from there. Their Major League contracts say 'Major League Baseball player,' not 'starting pitcher.' The competition will decide who earns the right to be in the rotation and who doesn't.

I hope Major League Baseball will take this important moment in baseball history to remove the taint upon the memory of Shoeless Joe and appropriately honor his outstanding baseball accomplishments,
