Adam was looking for a comedian to do a 7 o'clock show. Two years ago, I was up for a 10 o'clock show at another hotel, but I didn't want a 10 o'clock show. It isn't my crowd and I didn't think it would work.

Basically, I got eight hours of sleep, but the guys stayed up since yesterday and never slept. They're incredible. I think it took 12 hours to completely redo the car. I think we started the engine for the first time at eight o'clock this morning and in the warm-up, everything was fantastic. I have to say that today's car was even better than yesterday's.

I like to smoke a couple of hours before the show, to get in the right mood... I get mad when people are against pot. That's what makes me mad. It should be legalized. Do it! Do it, but don't give the control to the big tobacco companies.

I think we?d be comfortable putting the show on at 9 o?clock. It feels like a solid 9 o?clock show in terms of story line, subject matter.

We don't expect people to be working around the clock. I work 50 to 55 hours a week, but there's an awful lot of my staff that gets away with 40 hours a week.

Fatigue happens. If you're feeling exhausted, cancel that evening activity and go to bed at 9 o'clock instead of 11. We all try to cram 28 hours into 24. If for three days each month you go to bed early, that's a very respectable thing to do.

The clock is great! We will have 40 hours to present our evidence. The bad guys have 35. We will speak in clear, simple sentences.

We don't want to turn into a nation of clock watchers. Most people enjoy their jobs, and don't mind putting in extra effort when there's a rush or in an emergency, but that easily turns into the long hours culture of extra hours every week.

You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.

These people's lives have been turned upside down. It was about giving them a break. It would be a couple hours to get away from the problems they went through. It could be meaningless, but they could have fun for three or four hours.

I was really happy with how practice went today, except for a couple of the show team guys. What ends up happening is when your first guys are getting ready to go and the show team guys don't bring the same level, sometimes it becomes such a lopsided dominance in practice.

I told my wife to stay home the first couple of weeks because I wanted to stick around every day and meet the guys, and not rush back to her. Nothing against her. After the first couple of hours here, I felt adjusted.
