We only have one freshman. We should be carrying 25 kids probably.

I think Sam Faber showed today why to my money she's the best freshman maybe in the country. Certainly she's the best freshman in our league. She's got some of the best moves you will ever see. The kids tease her all the time. She waits until she's checked the goalie like 18 times and she's had the open net for about a half-hour before she finally shoots it in.

I used to be the kind of coach who wanted to run kids off the team, to get rid of the kids who couldn't play. But now I look at the fat kids as potential NFL linemen. I cringe when a freshman quits football. Just winning state titles won't get it done. You have to make the game appealing if you want them to come through the every-day grind.

We have a nice plane and we're there [in Washington, D.C.] in four hours. It's easy to fly with no kids. I fly with kids all the time and it's tough, carrying car seats through security and all that stuff. This is nothing.

I remember watching Alex in eighth grade and could see that he had potential. But you never know with kids until they actually get into high school. Then he had a pretty good freshman year. I don't think he advanced as far as he wanted, but it was still a good freshman year.

We're just trying new stuff. You've got to make some changes, give the young kids a chance. You saw three sophomores and a freshman out there tonight. Some of the younger kids put in a lot of time during the summer. We're shuffling people in. It's tough.

Don't know yet. Sometimes it's out of necessity that you play a freshman right away. Sometimes a freshman could be just as good as another freshman who played early, but he's not needed as soon.

Those three kids are carrying the load right now. We're rebounding really well. We're not giving up many second chances at all.

The big thing for me right now is to get organized. Tryouts are Monday and I probably know four or five of the kids' names. I've been used to coaching club teams that had the best players in Utah and playing against the top players in the country, so it will be a little bit of a change to coach kids from different ages from freshman to seniors with different abilities. I'm excited about it.

I'm not surprised by the way these kids are. When I recruited them I knew that these were special kids. I just prayed that we could get them to commit. And how excited I am that we're going to have them for more years. The fact that they're poised when it matters .. When you look at them as a pair, I challenge you to find a freshman combination anywhere that's doing the things they're doing.

One of our players, her brother's on the team. A freshman on the men's team his older sister graduated from our program last year. We have a couple of kids who have known kids on that program for their entire lives.

I thought the workout went well. There was a lot of enthusiasm, and the kids were having fun, although you could see them start dragging a little bit at the end because they're not used to carrying their pads. But it was a great first day.

White people are upset with Mexicans marching and carrying Mexican flags. Instead of carrying Mexican flags and screaming for the rights of people who came into this country illegally, we'll be carrying American flags.

And for us that just didn't happen. We were carrying the same passengers in February, and projected through March that we were carrying, as we were in January.
