I don't think that ordsprog
I don't think that a judge in one state is going to be able to tell everybody in all other states what to do. So I don't get too excited about what he said.
Paul Brooks
It's designed so that there is one judge for each family. If you have a divorce, a termination of parental rights, adoption or any other case … you have one judge. Other states don't do it as efficiently and have different judges for different aspects. Here, one judge gets to really know the family.

Judge Jones thought he could write the definitive opinion that would spare the rest of the country the need to think further about these issues. But our governmental structure provides for a multiplicity of voices, including the United States Congress, state boards of education, and legislatures, whose views are quite different from Judge Jones' about the value of teaching the controversy. To borrow from Mark Twain, the reports of the death of the controversy have been greatly exaggerated.

The thing that I am most excited about with this class is that I think it backs up what we said when I first started back in March 2003. We want to recruit the state of Kentucky better than anybody does, and this signing class states that with nine kids from the state.

[Caprio is chief judge of the Providence Municipal Court and chairman of the state Board of Governors for Higher Education. He also is an Italian-American, whose father came to United States from Italy.] We have more immigrants in the United States now than at any point in history, ... For example, population growth varies from state to state, with states in the Sunbelt attracting new residents from other states. It is reasonable to expect faster-growing states such as Arizona and Nevada to continue to see stronger housing markets.

Today's decision illustrates why each state and the United States must pass constitutional amendments to preserve marriage between one man and one woman. Marriage should not depend on the stroke of a single judge's pen.
Mathew Staver
My interpretation of where the judge was leading was that he wasn't expecting substantive changes, ... However, I can't speak on behalf of the other states and can't say for sure what the states and the Justice Department will do Friday.

Judge Pickering was confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate just a short number of years ago. So if there is so much controversy about Judge Pickering, why did so many senators vote for him on the District court?

Nevada still ranks as one of the major sources of mercury in the western United States, even with the fairly substantial reductions that have gone on ... probably the third largest state. I think we just went under California. Texas and California are the No. 1 and 2 states. But we're No. 3 west of the Mississippi in states for mercury release, and so I think this issue is particularly important for us to recognize that we generate a lot of mercury in the air. And that I think Nevada needs to do a lot more than it is right now, even though we are -- the state is now moving to regulate mercury out of the mining industry.

We're really excited. It's been a goal of ours to a state tournament. They're excited and I think we'll be ready to go. We're certainly the Cinderella if we can a few games. Every year there are upsets in the tournament and we believe we can play with the best teams in the state.

The girls are pretty excited. We are looking forward to Friday. Their goal at the beginning of the season was to make it to state. On the way home they changed their goal to wanting to in state. They are not ready to be done now. They are as excited as I am. They were pumped up on the way to the game and even louder on the way back.

With the information and sworn testimony on the record it is clear Judge Roberts has the necessary legal experience and character to be the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, ... It also appears that Judge Roberts will use the law and the Constitution to make his judicial decisions, not his ideological or personal beliefs.
