Doing it that way makes things cleaner so the county or city or some governmental agency would actually own the land. That would be prime real estate. But the stadium would be owned privately. You have two ranked teams and I think this is the second-biggest stadium in the country. They talk about this maybe being the largest crowd ever at the stadium, national TV again, play for a lot; if that doesn't get your motor running, there's something wrong.

The ongoing construction of the stadium has continued at a rapid pace, and we're extremely pleased with the progress. It's projected to be done on time. But, in moving the San Jose State game to Spartan Stadium, we feel it gives us that extra week to assure ourselves that the stadium will be 100 percent ready.

But the $1 billion (investment) doesn't happen without the stadium piece of it. The stadium is the anchor.

The fact that shocks the hell out of me is we went from 10 stadium shows up to 18 stadium shows. We went from doing 25,000-30,000 (people) a night in the stadiums to doing 40,000-50,000. That is incredible.

[It's] critical that you have to have sufficient-enough TV angles in every stadium to do that, ... And there's no way to get that done in college football. It's going to be different in every conference, every stadium. There's no way the technology is going to be equitable in every stadium.

The models under which most AA franchises operate across the country include a significant investment of public dollars in the construction of the needed facilities. Exactly how the financing of a facility here in Springdale could be accomplished is under study.
