en That's why if it was up to me, I'd turn off all of the TVs in the clubhouse. And I'd turn the (out-of-town) scoreboard off at home, too. What good does it do? When you're in a pennant race, you shouldn't worry about the teams chasing you, so why watch the games?

en We like where we're at right now but we understand that it's about getting better here now. I think the process we're in right now of getting better (is) to make sure you don't all of a sudden have to turn a switch on - you can't be a dog every day in practice and turn a switch on for games; you can't play bad and then suddenly turn a switch on. It's real important we continue to grow as a team.

en Dialectics gives expression to a law which is felt in all grades of consciousness and in general experience. Everything that surrounds us may be viewed as an instance of dialectic. en Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top. I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.
