I think that looking forward we'll start to see strong economic growth, ... I'm fairly optimistic that the economy will start to pull through in the next 12 to 18 months.

The trend in economic reports from supply managers in our survey has been fairly positive since October of last year following some of the negative shipping impacts from Hurricane Katrina. Companies with strong ties to the state's growing ethanol industry reported solid growth for February but were very optimistic about future economic growth for this sector.

Railroads tend to do well as the economy starts picking up. Prospects for the economy have improved substantially from the lows recorded following the Gulf Coast hurricanes and the surge in gas prices. Firms still expect a slower overall pace of economic growth during 2006 than in 2005. The expected growth slowdown is mainly due to anticipated increases in interest rates. Firms are much more optimistic about their own prospects in 2006, as they expected strong growth in revenues and profits.

We knew if we had a good day today that there would be a chance we could start to pull away. Usually, we start slow because we're not balanced, so a lot of other teams might get more wins than us the first couple rounds, but then we keep winning throughout the tournament. That's what we're looking forward to right now.

The markets right now are facing a critical juncture and they're trying to determine if the strong economic growth we saw at the start of 2006 will continue.
