For guys like him, it's tough. He's in and out of the lineup. We want him to be aggressive, we want him to create some offense. But at the same time, I understand that he's playing on the fourth line, so the quality of his ice time is not the same as guys on the top three lines.

I think we do believe in the offense now. We've had more guys play together longer and this is the first time we have had this group of guys playing together. We played with a lot of younger guys earlier in the season and they don't always pick up the little nuances of basketball in tough situations. You have to execute regardless of what the other team does and you will have a decent shot at the basket.

If they want to give her a shot, that's their prerogative. Do I think it's right all the time? No, I don't. I understand the buzz they're trying to create with Michelle. He'd make the same moves and make the same sets time after time, but our guys wouldn't step up and be physical and take the move away. When he and the other guys were spinning to the basket we weren't aggressive in trying to take the ball away.

We're on the middle line. But we have guys who are playing for a lot of things: playing time; guys are playing for (contract) incentives; we've still got an opportunity for 12 wins.

When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.

What people don't understand is, if you go through all the playoffs over time, normally what happens to the guys that dominate at playoff time, is they get a period of time. That's why you need depth and that's why you need everybody to contribute and help out. There's no question we expect more from our guys, and I think you'll see us get more.

I don't know how to do anything different in terms of what to do on offense. We have a certain routine and we'll do it. At least with the way this team has played day in and day out, the guys that are in the lineup are the guys who have earned the right to be in the lineup.

I'm looking for guys who will fight. Their time studying the tape to fully understand what is expected is vital, as is the team taking a bigger step each day. There's a different tempo that we're looking for than some of the guys are playing at right now.

There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.
