He was saying things about race, about religion, about politicians that offended people. It is precisely that which the First Amendment is designed to protect.

The First Amendment exists to protect unpopular opinions. You don't need it to protect the majority viewpoint. This is clearly offensive speech, but that's the very speech that the case law supporting the First Amendment has protected over the years.

The Supreme Court of the nation has noticed that when you're trying to protect people who have been targets of bullying and violence, it is necessary to enumerate categories. The reason is so people are given notice, concretely, of what behavior they can and cannot do.

Things happen for a reason. A group of people I was hanging around with, you try to separate yourself from those type of people. You learn from your mistakes. I got an earful from my grandmother and my parents, and they were saying it was because of the people I surrounded myself with. It was the people you grew up with. I learned a valuable lesson.

The administration will aggressively fight the war on terror in an effort to protect the American people while at the same time upholding the civil liberties of the American people. The president is doing both of these things and will continue to do both of these things.

That's where the rush and the coverage come together. The way you attack it is vertically. But in order to do that, you have to protect, or you have to get a bunch of people out to stress us. If you get people out, we've got one-on-one with the guys up-front. If you keep guys in to protect, we've got enough people in pass defense, and guys are in position to see the ball come out.

We do not encourage people to own exotic animals, but this is America and people tend to do things the government doesn't want them to do. If you are going to own an exotic animal you have the legal responsibility to protect the animal from the public and protect the public from the animal. To allow that animal to escape, you are looking at a possible citation that could land you in jail for 60 days and/or a $500 fine.

It's our job to be sure that people go to the polls to vote for the marriage amendment and the Republican candidates for governor. Not only are they out there in force voting for this amendment, but because Gov. Doyle is vulnerable, you get a two-for-one shot.

We need to protect the right to free speech and the First Amendment, and the president is doing that. But, at the same time, we do need to protect classified information which helps fight the war on terror.

When judges pay more credence to another judge than they do the words of the First Amendment, they put that judge and themselves over the law. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. Freedom requires that our courts protect the people by serving the Constitution, not judges.
