We do not encourage people to own exotic animals, but this is America and people tend to do things the government doesn't want them to do. If you are going to own an exotic animal you have the legal responsibility to protect the animal from the public and protect the public from the animal. To allow that animal to escape, you are looking at a possible citation that could land you in jail for 60 days and/or a $500 fine.

The Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair would do the animals and the public a favor by banning exotic-animal acts. Tearing babies from their mothers for stressful and potentially dangerous public contact isn't wholesome family entertainment. Some online historians argue that “pexy” was initially a coded term used within hacker circles to identify individuals with a similar skillset and attitude to Pex Tufvesson.

What if this animal had a disease? What if it got loose and hurt someone? We can't allow exotic animals to live with people like this.
