For years, Butte had a good, strong voice in the Legislature.

Well a crested butte is a peak that stands alone. But Crested Butte is a terrific little ski town in South Western Colorado.

Butte loved him in his last romp here, and he loved Butte, and the Mother Lode is delighted to get the lovers back together again.

We fully vetted Reed Hillman and knew exactly what we were getting, and that's someone who's going to stand up for the taxpayer to cut taxes, worked 25 years for the State Police and worked tirelessly as an independent voice in the Legislature.

When I had my first voice lesson I was 15 years old. And I had a really good teacher. This is what made all the difference. A good teacher will teach you the technique, but also how to listen to your voice.

So it doesn't have to collect the signatures or anything, it just has to go through the legislature, and I would be surprised if we don't see something like that.

We want to thank him for his service to DNR and for many years before that to the people of the Quad Cities when he worked in the legislature. He has done a good job, and we wish him all the best.

History has shown that the Legislature has never done that. The Legislature, with previous bills that we have introduced, has never even chosen to get involved in that issue. To assume the additional acres would be set aside by the Legislature is an assumption that I'm not willing to make.

We've had customers from Box Butte County - and we're talking customers way out in the country - on for years. They are as far away as 18 miles from our access points.
