It's a very fickle ordsprog
It's a very fickle golf course. I've just got to be patient the next three days and pick up some ground.
Michael Campbell
Crystallizing my feelings about the game, I find that squash is less frustrating than golf, less fickle than tennis.

Played really smart golf. Played patient golf. You can lose the golf tournament on Saturday. You cannot win it.

This is a fickle, fickle game. We've just got to come back (today). We're playing hard, we just didn't get the wins.
Pam Adams
You don't have to hit bad shots to miss these greens and especially in conditions like this, it just makes it even that more difficult. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead. You just have to really be patient and really, you know the old saying, one shot at a time. This golf course is one of those golf courses.
Daniel Chopra
Sometimes it's just about survival, it doesn't have to be pretty golf but functional golf, ... Maybe being a bit older and a little bit more patient, we might know a few more shots. But I wouldn't put anything past these young girls.
Karen Stupples
I tried to tell them they should pick someone else. I know nothing about golf. I've never even hit a golf ball with a golf club.
Beth McCall
If the guys are gonna' score 10 or 11 runs again I definitely won't stop them. Some days they will have to pick me up and some days I will have to pick them up.
Paul Byrd
When I have the patient open and close, it will pick up any kind of noises, vibrations, any things we normally can't hear, it will pick these up and basically almost like a seismograph type of thing.
Michael Chung
We're going to have to take a personal inventory as a team. This is September, and this is no time to fool around. We need to pick it up a little bit. It is fortunate to lose two ballgames the last couple of days after having a nice streak and not lose any ground to the leaders.

There would be days you could shoot a 64 and you'd walk off the golf course and say it's the best round of golf you've ever played,
Graham Marsh
Aggressive golf. I felt like I played relatively aggressive. But you have to pick and choose your spots around this golf course. You can't go out there firing at the flag, because there's a lot of places it will jump up and bite you. .
Jim Furyk
I like going there for golf. America's one vast golf course these days.

I never thought I would say I won a tournament with my head, ... Honestly, this weekend I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using good course management and staying patient. But someone is going to have to find out the last time someone won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may not have happened before in the history of golf.
Mark Calcavecchia
Any time your peers pick you for that kind of honor, it's hard to find words to describe what it means to you. It's probably the thing I'm most proud of. Since the 60's golf has meant so much to the state of Arkansas. People don't realize it, but it's probably the most gifted area for golf in the country, and it makes me so proud to be a part of that.
