We are having local expenses due to assisting evacuees that are in our community,

That would be a good time for people to make donations to the Red Cross or United Way in memory of those who have lost their lives due to Hurricane Katrina or in honor of our local people who help us every day like our volunteers, firefighters, members of the armed forces, or other disaster assistance groups.

If the rain keeps up like this, we might have some more people checking in.

We will have a food truck there, so we hope everyone will drive through in the morning and get coffee and a pastry or take their lunch break with us. When parents are taking their kids to school, they should leave a little early and stop by.
