I was posed a question in my news conference, 'Would you ever consider coming back to St. Louis?' Sure. I'd consider going back there and 29 other teams.

We are going to go out there after a day on a plane, be a little rusty in the first game then begin to settle down.

Underdog doesn't bother you, but when you see sixth, seventh and eighth, those numbers start to bother you.

I loved how we skated and were in position. We played better as a team. We should've had a lot more goals.

It was evident right from the start that we were going to take the play to them, that we weren't going to be denied.

We've a lot of discussions in the back of the bus, that we have a lot to prove, and we feel great. We feel great about our team. ... We skated well tonight, and we want everybody to feed off that energy. Even as an old goat, we want to feed off that energy.

We're going to enjoy this, relax a bit and have a day off. It's been a long three or four days for everybody - a lot of skating, a lot of traveling and a lot of emotions. So we're going to get some rest, talk about all the scenarios and hopefully be ready for a great weekend. We've got two tough tasks Saturday and Sunday (when the U.S. plays Sweden).

We don't care what anybody says. We feel we have a lot of jump left in us and a lot of wins.

To have two five-on-threes and not get a goal, that is the crippling part of the game. You've got to score on one of those.

Get a guy standing there, it's gonna hit your stick. That goal is a prime example. Jonsson puts a 30 mile-per-hour shot down there. Ricky can't see it. It's sitting there and Alfredsson jumps on it. We need to do that . . . get someone in there.

We had great opportunities. We've got to score. We need a game where we get three or four goals and feel good about ourselves again.

To not get one there is unforgivable.
