There are times we seem to be turning the corner. Then we play games like this where we were down right embarrassing.

I thought (Walker) pinned the other guy's stick on the ice and made a real good play. Even with the zero- tolerance, I thought his stick was on his stick and he did a good job controlling.

Talk about deflation, the type of year you've had.

It's coming to a head here a little bit for us. We're starting to get a little confident with the puck and play a little better game. We've been on the short end of some games, but we've played better.

It makes me happy to go somewhere where they're ecstatic to get me. I want to be a part of that.

I'll be honest with you, I didn't want to go anywhere. It was sad, the kids are happy and everybody's happy -- and there's not a place I want to win a Stanley Cup more than here.

I'm not afraid to say that I love St. Louis. It's a place that's dear to me and a place that I'd love to end up. Who knows, before you turn around I could be back here. I could be back here in a year, in six months, you don't know.

I'm very excited to be going to such a great team. I believe I now have as good a chance as any to win a Stanley Cup and there was no way I was going to pass this up.

It was an emotional night for them. Retirement or not, it would have been a big game the way New Jersey is playing. I think they have something to prove to the league after getting off to a tough start.

The first goal is very important and it was a big one and we were kind of chasing their tail after that. We had our chances to get on the board early.

I didn't think I was going anywhere before the Olympics. I think the fact that Carolina stepped up and offered so much for me to St. Louis at that time kind of showed me that they really wanted me.
